4K, or Ultra-HD, is about four times the resolution of an 1080p (HD) TV. The screen resolution is 3840 x 2160, or 2160p vs what most TV sets still have, which is just 1920 x 1080p. A 4K television displays about 8 million pixels.
When you sit up closer to your TV, the 4K becomes even more immersive and pronounced |

LED HDTV
An LED-backlit LCD display is a flat panel display which uses LED backlighting instead of the cold cathode fluorescent (CCFL) backlighting used by most other LCDs. LED-backlit LCD TVs use the same TFT LCD (thin film transistor liquid crystal display) technologies as CCFL-backlit LCD TVs. Picture quality is primarily based on TFT LCD technology, independent of backlight type.

OLED Display PanelsWhat is an OLED?OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes) is a flat light emitting technology, made by placing a series of organic thin films between two conductors. When electrical current is applied, a bright light is emitted. OLEDs can be used to make displays and lighting. Because OLEDs emit light they do not require a backlight and so are thinner and more efficient than LCD displays(which do require a white backlight).
